Generic Inderal LA (Propranolol) is a beta-adrenergic blocking agent. It works by slowing down the heart and reducing blood pressure, which helps it pump more efficiently and reduces the workload on the heart. Inderal LA is one of the most prescribed medications of its kind! The difference between ordinary Inderal and Inderal LA is that lthough the heart rate was lower with conventional propranolol than with 'InderalLA there was no significant difference in the blood pressure levels. The mean peak blood level of propranolol was, however, significantly lower with 'InderalLA compared with conventional normal Inderal and occurred later.

Inderal LA is also marketed as: Deralin, Generic Inderal, Propranolol, Inderal or Propanolol.
